1. Use the Japanese instructions as an aid to locate the head light motor control wire. Note: There is a 16-pin harness connected to the assembly. Do not remove or alter this plug or harness.

2. Verify the wire by using the included test lead. To do this, ground the stripped end of the wire and use the other end as a probe. The LED should be ON when the headlights are down and OFF when the headlights are up. Cut this wire.

3. Remove the 12-pin plug from the headlight switch.

4. Locate the harness for the Pivot Controller. See figure 1: Splice together the RED and GREY wires.

5. Join the single wire of Step 6 from the Pivot Controller harness to the cut wire of the harness plug.

6. Join the YELLOW wire to the cut wire of the vehicle's harness.

7. Locate a suitable ground (remove paint if necessary) and secure the BLACK wire.

8. Reconnect the 12-pin plug to the headlight switch.

9. Route the Pivot Controller harness to the Controller box and join together the plugs.

10. Verify operation of the Controller by turning the knob.
