This guide will walk you through the process of installing the short throw race shifter in the 3000GT or Stealth. Installation time only takes about 30 minutes and only a few tools are needed. This race shifter is a universal fit for all years and models of the 3000GT/Stealth, utilizing spacers to seat the shifter for the different models. It has been test installed on all models including the 6-speed TT/VR4 models. There are measurements at the end of the installation guide showing before and after throw diffences. On the 91/92 models, it is physcally shorter than the factory shifter, on 93+ it is about 1/4" shorter, but the main advantage is the shorther THROW (distance between even and odd gears).

NOTE: The style of the Race Shifter has been modified since this guide was put together, however the installation PROCESS is still essentially the same.
