Plenum Spacer 3000GT/Stealth

DOHC (above) SOHC (below)

Ever had a hotdog that was cooked under the hood of a Stealth? I have. These engines generate a LOT of heat, and theres not a lot of ways for it to get out from under the hood. Superheated air going into the cylinders is bad because you actually get less air in there - hot air is less dense than cold air - which ultimately means less power. The plenums get extremely hot, which further heats the air just before it enters the cylinders. These plenum spacers are only 1/4" thick, but their thermal properties serve to shield the plenum from getting superheated, leaving it only warm to the touch. This means youll have cooler air entering the cylinders which yields extra power.

Our kit *includes* new stainless bolts and washers to simplify installation!

NOTE: This item does lift the plenum, so the support bolts/brackets on the back side will not line up and the holes will have to be elongated/drilled to continue their use. Also, you may have clearance issues if you have a front strut bar installed, particularly on 96+ cars with the sensor on top of the plenum or if your motor mounts are old and wearing out allowing the motor to move more than it should.

NOTE: Gaskets are NOT included with the spacer. You will need a plenum gasket on BOTH sides of the spacer. The gaskets are listed in the selection menu below.
