3SX Phenolic Throttle Body Spacer

This is another new and unique 3SX product! Perfectly matched with our 3SX Phenolic Plenum Spacer, this is a spacer that goes between the throttle body and upper intake manifold. The throttle body can get extremely hot since the engine does circulate coolant through it, and simple heat transfer causes the plenum to get extremely hot as well. All this serves to heat up the intake air before it heads into the engine. This spacer is a mere 1/4" thick but serves to help isolate the heat from transferring to the plenum. It is a hard composite material so you will need a gasket on both sides of it - so we offer it with a pair of gaskets as well!

NOTE: You may need to adjust your throttle cable tension as this obviously moves the throttle body further away from the plenum. Simply loosen the 2 bolts holding the cable to the plenum and adjust the tension of the cable once the spacer is installed.

Kit includes 4 longer stainless steel bolts.
