10/19/2012 - We still have some... So we still have some of these oil pans, despite all the bullarky we have gone through with the manufacturer essentially sticking it to us with getting a perfect sample made, then shipping pallets-full of pans that were made wrong. :-/ But since the OEM 91-92 TT oil pan is extinct, we are offering these at basically nothing, way less than we even paid for them. So for those that are desperate to get one, and understand that they will need to be "made to work", then this is a solution for you! They are from the same batch as noted below, but these are the ones even we previously rejected. But we simply want them off the shelf! Known potential issues: 1) the holes are not exactly in line with the holes in the block - there are a couple that may need to be oblonged a couple mm to get the bolts in. 2) Leaks at the weld where the bottom "bucket" meets the top half - we recommend filling it with water and letting it sit a day and see if you get any seeping - if so, it'll need welding or jbwelding. 3) The little nuts on the inside where the oil return lines attach have either come loose, or are suspect - we recommend getting those 4 nuts tacked on so they do not fall off after you have sealed the pan against the block.

Yet another "3SX steps up" custom development! The OEM Mitsubishi oil pan (oil sump) is getting fewer in numbers available - in fact the pan for the 91-92 Twin Turbo engine is NO LONGER AVAILABLE! Can't really build an engine and replace the pan if there's NOT one!

Well, 3SX has once again stepped up to bat for the 3000GT/Stealth owner! We have MADE the oil pan for the 91-92 TT engines!! It fits like a glove and allows those early cars to get a fresh pan installed rather than trying to salvage the old rusty (and probably dented in pickup bowl!) pan.

The oil pan is a lot more vital part that some people give it credit for, and one major thing to consider is the shape of the bottom of it. The round circle at the lowest point of the pan is where the pickup strainer sits and draws oil up into the pump and thus the rest of the engine.

Some people think the oil pan makes a great place by which to jack up the car. THIS IS WRONG!!!! This can dent in that little circle, pressing it against the pickup strainer and could potentially starve the engine of oil, leading to catastrophic engine or turbo failure due to a lack of oil! If your oil pickup "bowl" in the pan is dented up/in, we HIGHLY recommend replacing the pan.

NOTE: It appears that this pan is also a DIRECT FIT for the 91-92 Non-Turbo engines - ideal if you have a 91-92 NA and are doing a turbo conversion. With this, there is no need to modify your pan to accept the turbo oil return lines as this is already a Turbo pan!

NOTE: We also recommend replacing your oil pickup strainer at the same time as the pan.

These oil pans are IN PRODUCTION! We received and tested the final pre-production prototype and the above pictures are of that pan. As an incentive to get the awareness out and get some moving, we're offering a pre-release SALE price! So order it NOW and get a great deal! Wait til they're in stock and the deal will be gone! But then again, even regular price is LESS than it was thru Mitsubishi when they had it available.....

8/3/2010 - Wow... Add misfortune to delays... We did receive our order of custom oil pans, but apparently something happened between our approving a production sample (it fit great!) and actual production. We received our production batch and they DIDN'T fit just right like our approved sample - the holes don't completely line up on the block but enlarging them solves the problem.  So we have MORE being made by the manufacturer and are offering these "Manufacturer Misfits" as we call them at a dramatically reduced price!  We are offering them with the option of getting the holes already drilled out larger, or undrilled and you can enlarge the holes as you need when mounting the pan (obviously we recommend aligning and drilling before applying sealant).

So you have the option of getting a pan and waiting for the next batch to arrive, or getting a "misfit" NOW either with drilled out holes or non-drilled.

8/19/2011 - Believe it or not, this is still an ongoing issue with the manufacturer who has basically stopped responding to us. For the time being we have turned off the option to wait for next shipment as we have no idea when that will be. We do still have a few of the "misfits" that are offered well be low cost so that at least there is SOMETHING of an option for getting a new pan for your engine that can be made to work, though it's not perfect... We apologize for the extended issues and we are continuing to try to make contact and looking for another manufacturer.
