The New billet wheel is much stronger and lighter then the old wheel. Also, its billet design allows for a much smaller center post giving the turbo much more blade area.
If you are looking to get into a Billet TD-04 bolt on turbo that will put you into the 550+ AWHP range, this is the way to go.
Talk about Bang for the buck!, Ray P. on his 96 3000gt VR-4, with a stock 185K Mile motor, Billet DR650's, 550cc injectors, Fuel controller, Down pipe, Fuel pump, and boost control made 519 AWHP and 565 AWTQ! This through stock intercoolers, and Stock cat back Exhaust, on a old tired 185K mile motor. That's almost mind boggling with such few mods! Congrats Ray!
If what you are looking for is the biggest and baddest direct bolt on turbo this is it. These turbos incorporate the highest flowing Billet compressor wheel ever used in a 3000gt/stealth stock housing along with our own design 9 blade super light turbine wheel. This turbine wheel is the size of a TD-04HL turbine but has 9 blades VS the 12 in the HL turbine for MUCH better flow. It even flows better then our 11 blade turbine used in the vertion 1 DR750's.
These turbos with the lightness of the titanium aluminide wheels/shaft spool VERY fast. These turbos have proven to have much less lag then 19T's and will support more power. For that matter they have less lag then 16T's, or DR650's.
If you want the "sleeper" look and easy install of a stock housings direct bolt on turbo but the power of a "big" turbo car this turbo was made for you.
These turbos made 604 AWHP, and 611 AWTQ to the wheels on Matt M.'s totally stock motor 95 Dodge Stealth with 80,000 miles on the motor, stock block, stock heads, stock cams. At 25psi of boost.
Eric M. also made 609 AWHP and 651 AWTQ on his Stock long block, but with adjustable cam gears, 91 Stealth RT TT at 25psi of boost on PUMP GAS, with these turbos. Eric's car broke 400ft/lb of TQ at 3100rpm, and brakes 600ft/lb of TQ at 3900rpm! Those are Numbers a 500+ CID BIG block V8 would love to have, and this is from a 183 cid V6!

You will need to transfer your existing wastegates from your previous turbos.
DR turbos are custom reman'd from good core turbos whereby the cartridge and housings are completely overhauled and fitted for the larger internals. A core charge is added when you add them to cart. Once your LABELED core turbos are be returned directly to DR, you will receive a credit of the core charge.
