Front Aero Simulator InstallationThese are the wiring instruction that are included with the front aero simulator we carry on our site. This simulator is useful for 91-96 3000GT VR-4 owners who have eliminated (for whatever reason - 99 conversion, damaged, etc.) the active front aero dam and motor assembly. The front and rear active aero work in conjunction and simply unplugging the front motor renders the rear active spoiler inoperable. The front aero simulator essentially tricks the car into thinking the motor is still there and working properly, thus allowing the rear spoiler to actuate normally. NOTE: If the system is not working properly prior to installing the front simulator, the system will more than likely not work after installing it. If the front air dam and motor is there and the system is not working, you may need to diagnose the rear active spoiler - the rear clips or limit switches may be bad and need replacing.
1) Disconnect vehicle battery. NOTE: This installation assumes you have the front aero dam (or at least the motor assembly) on the vehicle in order to use the wiring colors on the MOTOR SIDE of the harness plug. The colors on the vehicle side of the harness ARE NOT THE SAME - you can not follow the color scheme above for connecting to the harness on the vehicle side. The wires at the harness connect as follows:
If you do not have the front motor on the vehicle, follow the wiring connections for Harness Vehicle Side to Simulator. Harness/Pigtail Wire Colors - MOTOR Side

NOTE: If the system is not working properly prior to installing the front simulator, the system will more than likely not work after installing it. If the front air dam and motor is there and the system is not working, you may need to diagnose the rear active spoiler - the rear clips or limit switches may be bad and need replacing.
