This is a complete bolt on upgraded side mount intercooler and piping kit - it replaces the stock SMICs and all stock plumbing pipes/hoses. The 3SX Intercooler cores are developed from ground up and fits in the stock location. They offer more than DOUBLE the core volume of the stock intercooler cores, increase cooling capacity and efficiency dramatically! Piping is 2" mandrel bent aluminum tubes, larger than the stock 1.6" rubber tubes, except where they are going through the inner fender support on the Drivers side. This means that the 3SX SMIC kit works WITH your AC! No need to modify/cut the inner fender or eliminate your AC!

Installation note:  We have come across some vehicles have issues with the top tab on either smic core itself that it would need to be cut off completed (not necessary), slotted to allow a big washer and or step washer to be installed in place or left alone with no bolt being installed.  Having this tab as a mounting point will not prevent functionality of the smic.

Installation note:  If you want to run the stock oil cooler you can pull the stock oil cooler closer to the wheel.  Below is how it is originally mounted and the next image is it pulled back to clear the piping so it won't be necessary to fully relocate the oil cooler.

Note:  The 3SX SMIC Kit sits below the bumper line, images are below.

Installation note:  We recommend for ease of installation a fmoc (front mount oil cooler).
