Radio Power Antenna Shaft or Stereo Power Antenna Motor

Radio Antenna Shaft & Motor & Parts

Mitsubishi Power Antenna Shaft

A very common problem with the 3000GT/Stealth is the radio power antenna shaft gets stuck up, down, or somewhere in the middle, and doesn't work like it's supposed to. Most of the time it is because the plastic toothed shaft has either stripped or broken. This is a stock replacement shaft and will not fit aftermarket power antenna assemblies.

Mitsubishi Power Antenna Motor Assembly

The radio antenna not operating properly is sometimes more than just a broken shaft. If you need to replace the entire antenna assembly, this is what you need. Includes the motor, casing, controller, and new antenna shaft. Unplug and remove your old one and swap this one in.

Antenna Retaining Nut and Plug

There is a nut and grommet/plug that actually sits on the outside of the car where the antenna shaft goes through the body panel.  These parts are available separately as shows in the diagram above.

If you get the whole motor assembly, the antenna shaft, nut, and plug are included.
