Stock Water Temperature Sensors & Switches

These are the factory temperature sensors and switches used on the 3000GT/Stealth. They can sometimes go bad and lead to the fans not coming on properly or the engine not running properly due to not knowing what temperature the engine is operating. Use the diagrams to determine which switches to order, based on year and model.

NOTE: Only the DOHC locations are shown in the diagrams.
Some sensors cross to the 97-99 SOHC per below.

91-93 - ALL 3S (TT / DOHC / SOHC)
Located in Thermostat Housing
Water Temp Sensor for ECU
Water Temp Sensor for In-Dash GAUGE
Water Temp Switch for AC

91-93 - TT & DOHC NA
Located in radiator below lower hose
Water Temp Radiator Switch 85-degree WHITE
Water Temp Radiator Switch 90-degree BLACK

94-99 - ALL 3S (TT / DOHC / SOHC)
Located in Thermostat Housing
